The Library Object Manager works in pretty much the same way as for earlier versions of ADE.

The obvious MSFS base libraries have already been added.    Further libraries can be added in the usual way.

NOTE.  We are finding that MSFS models are much larger than mdl in terms of size and the number of triangles.  Some libraries will throw an OOM error.  This just means that no footprint has been created.  Please let me know if you get one of these.

Placement into the ADE display is the same as always.  You may find that some objects do not show a detailed footprint.  Also note that the footprint appears at 180 deg to the object placement.  This seems to be a feature of glTF and ADE should deal with it automatically

Library Object Rotation by Handle

As part of the issues that are fixed by the changes above the position of the  rotation handle can be located inside the footprint  or placed in a poor place and be hard to use.

The fix applied now places the handle in a better location and also provides a red line joining the object reference point and handle

The issue of the handle reversing when selected should also be solved for Library Objects (those added to the LOM) but may not be fixed yet for models added via Lists > Models

Library Names in LOM

ADE collected the fully qualified  path for libraries added to the LOM

This means that the user may see a path (especially for official libraries) that is not the same as on their own computer.  The paths are now generalized to remove the Content section of the path

This should make it easier to find specific official libraries if needed

Missing Data and Missing Footprint Filters for LOM

Two new filter buttons have been added.  Missing Data will filter objects that are missing dimensional data or where the dimensional data is not valid.  In this example the X and Y dimensions appear invalid

Although the footprint is drawn and it may work fine in Sim

Missing Footprints will filter objects that do not have a detailed footprint in the database

Over Large Footprints

Some objects and in particular Light Poles appear to have an excessively large footprint.  These can smother objects located inside the footprint

There is now a user defined way to provide these objects with a small footprint by checking a new option in the LOM.  If checked this applies the small footprint to all placements of that object.

Check Use Small Footprint to activate the option for this object  and save the changes

The footprint will be shrunk to a circle and the tool tip will remind you that this is showing a small footprint.  If you make a change while working on a project you may need to click the objects to redraw their footprint.  We have checked all the main official light poles in the distribution.  You can change these are you wish and set the option for any other objects.
